About the Book

Malaika’s story questions the concepts of twin flames, soul mates and karmic relationships. It provokes the reader to think of his or her own experiences and find the lessons he or she needed to learn. It teaches men and women that heartbreak and loss is a part of life’s journey and it should be embraced because these lessons once learned, moves us a step up the spiritual ladder. It also emphasizes the importance of forgiveness; forgiveness of self and the people who have hurt us. Love is indeed complicated.

About the Author

Ana-Maria Warner, was born in Bucharest, Romania to a Romanian Mother and Liberian Father. Ana was raised during her early years in West Africa and soon immigrated to Canada as a teenager. She studied at the University of Saskatchewan where she received a Bachelor of Sciences.  But Ana’s heart has always been with the art of writing. At age 11, Ana started writing poetry, short stories and lyrics to music. Her favorite topic to write about was (and still is) love. As she grew older, her quest to understand who people are and why they behave the way they do lead her to educate herself on Astrology. This is where she stumbled upon the concepts of twin flames, soul mates and karmic relationships. She researched these concepts for the past seven years while closely studying the experiences she encountered in her own love life. And in late 2016 she started writing Malaika’s story. Although this story is fiction, it is certainly relatable to everyone who has once had their heart broken.
